In 2012, Lifeline Melbourne needs to raise $250,000 to help train 240 new volunteer telephone counsellors to keep this critical 24-hour service going. Lifeline Melbourne's 250 plus volunteers have all undertaken a six-month accredited crisis counselling course, and at a cost of $1,800 for each new volunteer, combined with the ongoing cost of keeping our current volunteers on the telephone, we rely on you to give generously.
