About 1,950 volunteers support Wesley Mission Melbourne programs. Our programs rely on volunteers to provide these services.

Wesley Mission Melbourne provides a range of services in five areas:
  • Aged Care (residential and community based);
  • Disability (residential and community based);
  • Homelessness;
  • Crisis Support Services; and
  • Youth

For positions with direct client contact and/or responsibility for financial transactions volunteers must undergo a Police Records Check.

All prospective volunteers with contact with children and young people must complete a Working with Children Check.

Kevin Green Award
The Kevin Green Award was established in memory of the late Rev Kevin Green in 1998 to celebrate the passion, commitment and community spirit of Wesley Mission Melbourne.
The award is divided into seven categories, and of these winners the Kevin Green Award winner is chosen

Paul Sadler, Wesley Do Care East
Paul is a 24 year old student who visits three clients every week. He has faced many challenges in this role, and his view remains that he is privileged to be involved in the lives of these people. He has formed genuine friendships that go far beyond the role of volunteer visitor.
