About the Service

Wesley Employment Services:

• have provided a quality service to job seekers for over 32 years
• successfully place and support individuals in a variety of business environments such as retail, hospitality, manufacturing, clerical and service industries
• meet disability access requirements, including amenities

Wesley Employment Services provides support to clients before, during and after they get a job. We can:

• identify appropriate job choices
• create an individually designed employment program
• job search
• assist with job applications, resumes, and accompany you to job interviews
• provide on the job training and support
• assist in accessing wage subsidies, work place modifications and equipment
• provide interpreters, including Auslan

Who Can Access the Service?

You can access the service if you:

• are at least 16 years of age
• have a disability
• have a medical condition
• have learning difficulties
• come from a disadvantaged background
• have any other barrier to employment

Success Story
Ian (not his real name) faced the challenge of getting a job without having any previous employment experience. He was very keen to work in an admin support role in his local community but kept receiving knock backs. He signed up for a local parks and gardens project, specifically designed to give people with disabilities an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and commitment and become more confident job seekers. Within 4 short weeks Ian successfully applied for an admin traineeship with a local government department.
