Low care residential housing

Wesley Gilgunya offers different levels of assistance for people with varying physical or cognitive abilities, while respecting each person’s independence and individual needs.

Each resident lives in a large private room with ensuite, which is linked to shared kitchen and living areas.

Our ‘ageing in place’ capacity means that as residents’ care needs increase they have the option to remain at Wesley Gilgunya.

Respite

Spending time at Wesley Gilgunya through out Respite program is a good introduction to the facility. Emergency respite is also available.

Referrals can be made through CarerLinks North, 1800 059 059.

Independent Living Units

Wesley Gilgunya’s independent living units have a community feel while allowing residents to maintain their independence.

If your needs change you will receive priority in one of our low care beds.

Wesley Gilgunya welcomes volunteers. There are opportunities to provide one-on-one social support to residents, to assist with group activities and outings, and to assist with administrative tasks. Autumn Day
By Christine Du Vergier
Christine entered Autumn Day in Wesley’s 2008 Card Design Competition. Her design was printed and sent to all Wesley volunteers for Volunteer Week 2008and will also be sold as part of Wesley’s 2008 Christmas Card Selection.

Christine has been a resident at Wesley Gilgunya Village since February 2007. She can often be seen motoring around the village in her electric wheelchair with a smile and a welcoming gesture for everyone.

Christine has found the tranquility of the village an inspiration for her paintings. Her work is very proudly displayed around her cottage.
