Leader Food for Families appeal
Thank you to everyone who took part in the 2007 appeal!
Thank you to each of the 227 groups who took part in this year's Leader Food for Families appeal. We had a record response this year and the shelves at our services are filling up as our volunteers continue sorting the donated items.
We also had an extremely generous response from customers of Safeway Supermarkets, with reports from volunteers indicating more donations than ever before from many stores.
The food and toiletries collected during this six week appeal will help Wesley’s Homelessness and Crisis Services meet the needs of over 10,000 homeless people who will receive assistance from Wesley Mission Melbourne during 2008 - thank you for being part of this.
2008 Leader Food for Families appeal
2008 is the 17th annual Leader Food for Families appeal.
The appeal is an easy way to help homeless people and people in crisis who turn to Wesley Mission Melbourne for assistance.
Through the 2008 Leader Food for Families Appeal, we aim to collect sufficient donations of grocery items and toiletries to meet the needs of over 10,000 homeless people who will receive assistance from Wesley Mission Melbourne during the next year. With your help we can do it.
Your generous response to our appeal will help us meet the demand for food throughout 2009.
You can now donate online to this appeal (this will open up the Our Community site).
Your donation will be used to purchase non-perishable food to restock our shelves throughout the year, and to provide food vouchers so people can purchase fresh fruit, vegetables, meat or dairy products.
