Activities for Young People
Wesley provides a range of day activities, overnight camps and weekend camps for children and young adults with disabilities aged 8 to 18 years.

All our activities provide opportunities to share new experiences, make new friends and they're great fun. The activities also provide respite opportunities for carers.

Who does the program support?

> Young people aged 8 to 18 years with mild to moderate disabilities

> We also offer a family camp to families of young people with a disability, where the whole family is encouraged to attend

How does the program work?

Wesley has offered supported day activities and camping opportunities to young people with disabilities for over 41 years. We offer a range of options including day activities, overnight camps, and weekend camps in a variety of settings throughout Victoria.

Participants are divided into similar age groups to provide age appropriate activities with groups generally consisting of 5 to 17 people.

We organise a wide variety of activities including surf camps, horse riding camps, snow camps, and family camps as well as day activities including visiting Sovereign Hill, watching a movie at Imax Cinemas, visiting the Melbourne Museum, participating in various arts and craft, visiting the Melbourne and Werribee Zoo, going to the swimming pool, ten pin bowling, and rock climbing. We regularly ask participants and families for feedback so we can continually improve and deliver a quality service.

This program is supported 10 per cent by a group of dedicated volunteers, with a ratio of 1:2 on all camps and activities.
